The following procedure is recommended for temporary quick-cleaning
or emergency use in the field. As always, all firearms, even if only
stored for a few days, should be thoroughly cleaned, check and prepared
prior to final storage.
Attach handle to flex shaft, and chamber brush to flex shaft. Grasp
handle. Rotate clockwise 5-8 turns (Do not reverse direction while
rotating.) Continue rotating clockwise while withdrawing brush
from chamber. Remove brush and attach mop. Insert into chamber and
rotate clockwise 5-8 turns. Repeat this procedure until you are sure
most residue has been removed or loosened. When time permits, thoroughly
clean and lubricate for longer storage.
